Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gerald Dean (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Baker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gerald Dean looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Gerald Dean! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Paul Baker! The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Marco Blurström and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Baker gets caught napping as Dean dives in and scores a takedown. Baker manages to retain guard. Baker kicks Dean off and gets to his feet. Dean really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Dean looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Baker looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Dean keeping full guard, as Baker tries to pass. Baker works a leg free and moves into half guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Baker is keen to just control but Dean is a slippery customer.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Baker is still trying to improve position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Baker accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Baker throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Dean's waist but Dean gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Baker off to one side. Dean changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Baker tries to avoid it but Dean manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Baker to the ground. Baker escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Paul Baker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Dean defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Baker. Baker shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Gerald Dean has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Paul Baker. Dean fails with an attempt to clinch.

"Ole!" shouts Dean as he jumps to the side. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Paul Baker dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Gerald Dean is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Baker shoots in looking for a takedown but Dean manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Baker's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Baker makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Baker. We've been informed that Baker has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Dean trying to control but Baker is working from the bottom.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Baker misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. That's four minutes gone in the round. Baker manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Dean manages to get himself to full guard.
Baker gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Baker gets a double leg takedown into Dean's guard. Baker trying to control the position from guard on top but Dean is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Baker stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dean swivels though and keeps the full guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Dean keeping moving, preventing Baker from controlling successfully. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Gerald Dean will probably get the nod. That's time! Dean's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Dean wants to stand but Baker has his arm trapped. Dean stands up.

Baker shoots for a takedown but Dean saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Dean shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Baker's guard. Baker not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Dean is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Dean wanted to stand there but Baker had control of the position. Dean will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Baker has Dean pulled in close to control his posture.

Dean is looking to pass into half guard but Baker pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Baker is in guard. Baker wants to control from the top but Dean keeps moving. Dean is trying to control the position from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Baker shoots in looking for a takedown but Dean manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Baker's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Dean is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Baker. Baker shoots for a double leg takedown but Dean sprawls well. He's pushed Baker's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Dean lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Baker throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. Baker shoots in but no luck this time. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Dean shoots in for a double leg but Baker sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Dean displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Baker.
And that's the end of the fight! Gerald Dean showed his dominance in that final round. I think Dean has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
