Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Delbert Grant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and William McDonald (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Delbert Grant has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Delbert Grant! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, William McDonald! The judges for this bout are William Gold, Daniel Bishop and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Grant fails with a takedown attempt. Grant could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. McDonald finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
McDonald shoots in and bounces Grant off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. McDonald is standing up over Grant. Grant looks to escape but McDonald dives into side control.
Grant is trying to improve his position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Grant is not content to let McDonald control the position. Grant wants to control but McDonald postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Grant is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control. McDonald trying to control the position but Grant is working away. Grant gets back to half guard. McDonald is trying to control the action in half guard but Grant is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. McDonald wants to free his trapped foot but Grant is holding on for dear life with his legs. Grant trying to control but McDonald postures up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. McDonald winds up and cracks Grant with a swinging punch to the side of the head. McDonald wants to work for an arm triangle but Grant is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Grant is looking to improve his position.
McDonald is trying to control the action in half guard but Grant is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Grant is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but McDonald pulls his head out easily. Grant blocking the ground and pound attempt from McDonald. Grant wants to control but McDonald is keeping busy.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McDonald is looking to take a break and control but Grant is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. McDonald closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. McDonald creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Grant lands an uppercut. McDonald tries to pull guard but Grant holds him up against the cage and eventually McDonald drops back down to his feet.
McDonald gets underhooks to prevent Grant's takedown attempt.
McDonald escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
McDonald shoots for a takedown but Grant saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. McDonald tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. McDonald tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Grant manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Grant tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but McDonald defends well and Grant ends up having to push McDonald into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Delbert Grant. That's going to take a lot out of him. Grant shoots for a double leg takedown but McDonald sprawls well. He's pushed Grant's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. McDonald throws out a powerful jab. Grant looking to score a takedown here. McDonald is defending well but Grant drives through and ends up in McDonald's guard. McDonald is looking to stand back up but Grant counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by McDonald. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Grant slows the pace down in half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
William McDonald dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts McDonald, as that shot connected.
McDonald darts in looking for a takedown but Grant gets double underhooks and turns McDonald into the cage. Grant wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch. McDonald throws a sloppy head kick and Grant moves out of range easily. The fight stays on the outside here - McDonald looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Grant appears to be looking for a big counter. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. No luck with that takedown attempt from McDonald. McDonald tries for a takedown but Grant sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Grant appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Delbert Grant has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of William McDonald.
That's one minute gone in the round. A momentary lapse in concentration from Grant enables McDonald to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Grant manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. McDonald is breathing heavily. Grant lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Grant controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Grant missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Grant controlling from the top position. Grant seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down McDonald for as long as he can get away with.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Grant is looking to work some ground and pound but McDonald has wrist control. Grant landing with the ground and pound. McDonald can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Grant controls the pace. McDonald controls Grant momentarily but Grant frees himself. Grant engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Grant wants to control from the top but McDonald keeps moving.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. McDonald misses with a takedown attempt - Grant sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. McDonald fails miserably with a takedown attempt. McDonald gets a clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Grant is trying to push McDonald away but McDonald has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Grant tries to break free but McDonald pushes him back against the cage. Grant ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Grant no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Grant has McDonald pulled in close to control his posture. Grant might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Grant bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in McDonald's guard. Grant prevents McDonald from getting back to his feet. Grant is fighting to break McDonald's control of his arms but McDonald is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Grant is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

McDonald will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Grant attempts a counter takedown but McDonald avoids it well and moves away. McDonald closes the distance and clinches. McDonald escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Grant throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. McDonald tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Grant is in McDonald's guard. McDonald has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Grant can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Delbert Grant overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Grant controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

McDonald takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. McDonald preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. McDonald manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Grant manages to get himself to full guard.
Grant escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. McDonald gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. McDonald won't allow Grant to sweep him here.

Grant has his hands on McDonald's head, controlling the position. McDonald postures up in Grant's guard and throws a big left but Grant blocks it. Grant is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Grant looking for a guillotine here but McDonald defends easily.
McDonald must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Grant wants to control from the top but McDonald keeps moving.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. McDonald has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. McDonald preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. McDonald is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Grant avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Grant feinted with a counter takedown. McDonald feints and as Grant raises his hands in defense, McDonald changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Delbert Grant. I think Grant has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
