Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Me Enser (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Gascoigne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Me Enser!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Paul Gascoigne!
The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Michael Johnstone and Winston Alpacca.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gascoigne avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
It seemed like Gascoigne was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Gascoigne takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Enser shoots in and drives through. Gascoigne sprawls well.

Gascoigne shoots in and gets a takedown into Enser's guard.
Enser is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Gascoigne forces his way into half guard.
Gascoigne sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Enser defending well though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gascoigne stalling.
Enser wants to control but Gascoigne is keeping busy.

Gascoigne is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Enser wants to get back to his feet.
Gascoigne takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Gascoigne throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Gascoigne stands up from half guard.

Gascoigne shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Enser manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Enser wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Gascoigne manages to pass to side control.

Enser on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Enser tries to get out of the position.
Gascoigne throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Enser avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Gascoigne.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gascoigne looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Gascoigne trying to control the pace.
Enser really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Enser is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Gascoigne looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Gascoigne throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Gascoigne is working for a submission of some sort.
Gascoigne seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Enser trying to hold on to Gascoigne's head to control him but Gascoigne postures up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Paul Gascoigne dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!


Enser looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Gascoigne.

Enser explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
Enser moves in looking to clinch but Gascoigne pushes him off.
Enser connects with a solid leg kick.
Enser shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Gascoigne sprawls well. Gascoigne wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Enser gets slowly back to his feet.
Me Enser is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Gascoigne closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Enser wants to control but Gascoigne is keeping busy.
Gascoigne moves nicely into side control.
Gascoigne landing strikes.
Gascoigne has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Enser!
Enser tries to reverse the position but Gascoigne maintains control.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Enser in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
Gascoigne content just to control the position here.
Enser avoids a series of strikes thrown by Gascoigne.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Gascoigne controlling his opponent.
Gascoigne thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
Gascoigne sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

Gascoigne is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Gascoigne!
