Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Matt Quin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Scotty Bennet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Quin comes to the cage accompanied by Captain Jack - Iko Iko. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
21 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Matt Quin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
49 - 21 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Scotty Bennet! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Quin misses with a straight left. Quin misses with a body shot.
Bennet uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Quin.
Bennet is looking to slow Quin down with leg kicks. Bennet misses the shot to the body. Bennet misses with an uppercut. Quin saw that one coming. Nice shot lands for Quin. Bennet paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Quin connects with a body shot that sends Bennet's belly button to the back. Bennet takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A big left from Bennet misses. A nice inside leg kick there by Bennet. That's going to slow Quin down. Quin misses with a hook. Quin misses the jab. Bennet throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Quin sees it coming and avoids it easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bennet throws out a loose jab but Quin uses good head movement to avoid it. Bennet is looking to slow Quin down with leg kicks. Bennet misses with a wild body shot. Quin moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. A swing and a miss from Quin. Quin throws a jab when Bennet was well out of range. Quin looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Bennet! Quin taking a breather here. Bennet avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Quin. Bennet keeps Quin under control for a moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bennet manages to get back to half guard. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Quin connects with a nice short shot to Bennet's temple. Quin perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Quin has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Bennet is trying to get back to full guard. Bennet avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Quin. This has been an exciting period of action! Quin trying to pass the guard but Bennet defending well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bennet keeping hold of Quin's head, controlling as best he can. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Quin scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Bennet is refusing to be controlled, as Quin sits in half guard. Bennet trying to control from the bottom.
Quin missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bennet tries to roll over but Quin keeps him under control. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Bennet is trying to maintain the position but Quin is very close to passing his half guard.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Quin dips down and scores with a jab to the body. The fighters circling - Quin throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Quin misses with a shot to the body and Bennet counters with a left and a right that stings Quin. Quin scores with a crisp jab that stopped Bennet in his tracks. Quin stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Bennet. Bennet ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Quin moves away. Quin swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Quin cracks Bennet with an open hand slap. Quin looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Bennet is looking for a sweep. Quin is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Matt Quin dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Quin missing with a left hand there. Bennet was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Quin misses with a straight left. A big right from Quin misses. Quin connects with a body shot. Bennet uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Bennet misses with a wild body shot. Quin ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Bennet moves away. Quin doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. We've been informed that Bennet has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Bennet is looking to score with low kicks. Bennet slips a jab from Quin. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Quin throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Bennet on the side of the head. Bennet scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Bennet does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. A punch combination from Bennet misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bennet takes a swing at Quin's ribcage but misses. Bennet lands with a slapping head kick. Bennet pushing out the jab but it's not landing. The fighters circling - Bennet throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Quin connects with a nice looking jab.
Bennet tries to bum rush Quin with a series of wild strikes but Quin uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Scotty Bennet is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Quin slips under a jab from Bennet. A head kick by Bennet misses and Quin counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Bennet thinking. Scotty Bennet seems to be getting the better of the standup. Quin throws a big shot that misses. Bennet moves away from the strike by Quin. Bennet avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Quin darts in looking for a takedown but Bennet gets double underhooks and turns Quin into the cage. Quin looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bennet throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Quin bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Bennet's head backwards. Bennet lands with an overhand left. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Quin moves out of range of the strikes. Quin drops down looking for a counter takedown but Bennet sprawls and moves away. Quin throws a looping overhand right but Bennet ducks down to avoid it. Bennet swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Quin throws a jab but it's blocked by Bennet. Bennet keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Quin. Quin defending well as Bennet loads up on a big left hand. Bennet uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Quin. Quin looks to score with a jab to the body but Bennet is just out of range. Bennet cracks the inside of Quin's front leg.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Quin shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Matt Quin. That's going to take a lot out of him. A telegraphed right hand from Quin misses the target. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Bennet! But no joy. Quin doesn't succeed with the takedown and Bennet connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Bennet slaps away a takedown attempt from Quin, before circling back to the center of the mat. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Quin dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Quin closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Quin misses with a left hand and Bennet counters with a nice body shot. An inside leg kick from Bennet misses. A jab from Quin misses. Bennet will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Matt Quin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bennet takes a jab right on the kisser.
Quin steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Bennet. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Quin. This has been an exciting period of action! A telegraphed takedown attempt from Quin is defended easily by Bennet. Quin with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Bennet to score with a decent uppercut. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Scotty Bennet showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!
Quin misses with a combination

Quin shoots for a double leg takedown but Bennet sprawls well. He's pushed Quin's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Bennet throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Quin loads up on a big right hand but Bennet slips the punch. Bennet throws a looping overhand right but Quin ducks down to avoid it. Bennet throws a jab when Quin was well out of range. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A jab from Bennet misses. Bennet stuffs the takedown attempt from Quin. Quin gets slowly back to his feet. Bennet tries a quick counter leg kick but Quin is wise to it. Quin fails with the takedown. It seemed like Bennet was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Matt Quin. That's going to take a lot out of him. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bennet moves out of range as Quin strikes. Bennet on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Bennet lands with a cross. Bennet lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Bennet stuffs the takedown. A little jabbing left from Bennet on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. A left lands for Quin. Quin connects with a single shot there. Quin throws out a loose jab but Bennet uses good head movement to avoid it. Bennet throws a looping overhand right but Quin ducks down to avoid it. Quin fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Bennet looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Quin ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Bennet moves away. Bennet raises up his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick. Quin shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Bennet sprawls well. Bennet wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Quin gets slowly back to his feet.

Quin throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Quin darts in looking for a takedown but Bennet gets double underhooks and turns Quin into the cage. Bennet is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. Quin slips a jab from Bennet. Bennet displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Quin throws out the jab. A little jabbing left from Bennet on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Quin fails with the takedown. Quin avoids the body shot from Bennet.

Quin takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

An attempted straight right counter from Quin misses the target. Quin dives in for a single leg takedown but Bennet sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Bennet stuffs the takedown. Quin fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Bennet avoids it really well and circles away. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Bennet drops Quin with a beautiful combination! Quin stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Bennet is looking for the KO!
Quin is rocked!
And that's the end of the fight! Scotty Bennet comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Bennet has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
