Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jukka Laitela (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bosse Grepp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bosse Grepp is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jukka Laitela! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Bosse Grepp! The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Arvi Lind and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Grepp closes this distance looking for a takedown but Laitela circles away. Grepp looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Laitela scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Laitela stalling. Laitela trying to control the action but Grepp is working from the bottom. Grepp keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount. Grepp tries to roll over but Laitela keeps him under control. Grepp is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Laitela with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Laitela lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Laitela slows the pace down in half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Grepp is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Grepp trying to control here.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Jukka Laitela just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Laitela closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Laitela lands in his opponent's guard. Grepp can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Laitela controls the pace. Laitela looking to pass the guard. Laitela stays in close to Grepp's body and controls the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Grepp wants to sweep here but Laitela controlling him for the moment. Grepp has his foot on Laitela's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Laitela works his way back into a safe position though. That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Laitela controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Grepp not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Laitela is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Laitela with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Laitela drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Laitela jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Grepp is trying to keep Laitela in close.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Laitela gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Grepp counters with a nice double leg into half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Grepp drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Grepp thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Grepp drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Grepp jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Laitela is pulling down on Grepp's head to control his posture. Grepp stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Laitela swivels though and keeps the full guard. Laitela is controlling Grepp's posture. Laitela's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Grepp wants to control from the top but Laitela keeps moving.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Laitela has his takedown stuffed and Grepp decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Laitela's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Grepp seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Grepp stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Laitela swivels though and keeps the full guard. Laitela not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Laitela scores with a takedown into Grepp's guard. Bosse Grepp has got the better of the ground game so far. Grepp is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bosse Grepp showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Laitela changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Grepp looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Laitela is looking to take a break and control but Grepp is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Grepp tries to buck Laitela off but Laitela is having none of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Laitela remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Grepp is in a bad spot here and he knows it... just holding on for now. Grepp is looking for a sweep. Grepp is being controlled here. Laitela has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Grepp manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Grepp is refusing to be controlled, as Laitela sits in half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Grepp is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Grepp is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Laitela's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Laitela's back! Laitela controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position. Laitela trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble. Grepp is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Laitela with him. Laitela is trying to defend but Grepp has an arm under the chin now! Laitela grimaces and is forced to tap out!
