Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cain Ruttenum (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexey Karasev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ruttenum comes to the cage accompanied by Roy Jones - can't be touched. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Cain Ruttenum!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Alexey Karasev!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Shigeki Sano.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Karasev lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Ruttenum backs up against the cage.
Karasev scores with a jab to the body.
Karasev moves out of range as Ruttenum strikes.
Karasev connects with a jab.
Karasev lands with a cross.
Karasev cracks a nice hook into Ruttenum's ribs.
Ruttenum fails in his attempt to clinch.
Karasev cracks Ruttenum with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Karasev lands a head shot.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Karasev fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Ruttenum on the side of the head.
Karasev ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
A looping hook to the body misses from Ruttenum. Karasev does a little dance to reset his feet.
Karasev tests Ruttenum's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Karasev has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Ruttenum tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Karasev counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
A looping hook to the body misses from Ruttenum. Karasev does a little dance to reset his feet.
Karasev's coach down at St Petersburg MMA Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Karasev's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Karasev connects with a looping right hand.

Karasev cracks Ruttenum with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Karasev has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Ruttenum to stand back up!


Ruttenum is rocked!
Ruttenum drops his hands momentarily. Karasev doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Ruttenum staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Ruttenum doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Alexey Karasev!
A victorious Alexey Karasev thanked his army of followers in his post fight interview, telling people to make sure they follow him on Twitter.
Cain Ruttenum spoke after the fight, saying 'Can't win them all, I'll be back better and stronger. The HITMAN will be back!'.
