Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jowell Randy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Balboa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jowell Randy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jack Balboa! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Frank Dennis and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Balboa shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Randy has his foot on Balboa's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Balboa works his way back into a safe position though. Randy working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Balboa doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Balboa manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Randy escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Balboa gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Randy has a closed guard, preventing Balboa from standing up. Balboa really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Randy. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Balboa avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Balboa postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Randy being controlled here, momentarily. Balboa missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Balboa drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Balboa jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Randy looking to control.
Randy keeping moving, preventing Balboa from controlling successfully. Balboa postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Randy will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Randy looking for a guillotine here but Balboa defends easily.
Balboa trying to control but Randy is working from the bottom. Randy had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Balboa is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Randy Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Balboa's back instead.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Randy is looking for the choke from the back position but Balboa is controlling his hands well. Randy is breathing heavily. Balboa is trying to get back to his feet but Randy has full control of the position and if anything, Balboa has just worked his way into a worse spot. I really don't envy Balboa right now.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Balboa can do anything to dispel that myth. Balboa misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Randy shoots and misses and Balboa counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Balboa controlling the action here. Balboa is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Randy is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Balboa pulls his head out easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Balboa not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Balboa seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Randy does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Balboa stands up from half guard. Balboa closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Balboa has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Randy tries for a takedown but Balboa circles away easily and Balboa counters with a shoot takedown. Randy fights it but they end up in guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Balboa controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Randy looking for a guillotine here but Balboa defends easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jack Balboa dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Randy gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Balboa counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Randy is lucky that one didn't land flush. Excellent takedown into side control there by Balboa. Balboa tries to move into full mount but can't pass Randy's legs. Jack Balboa has got the better of the ground game so far. Randy is trying to get back to half guard. Balboa takes a little break here. Randy wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Randy tries to buck Balboa off but Balboa is having none of it. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Balboa connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Randy some visible discomfort.

Balboa stands up and beckons Randy to his feet. Randy misses with a jab, cross combination.
Randy shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Balboa counters with a nice double leg into guard. Randy is looking for a triangle but Balboa pushes his legs off easily.
Balboa wants to pass the guard but Randy is keeping the position. Balboa wants to control from the top but Randy keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Balboa slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Balboa must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Balboa stands up and waves to Randy to follow him. Randy shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Balboa counters by clinching up. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jowell Randy. That's going to take a lot out of him. Balboa manages to pull guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Randy wants to stand but Balboa is controlling his posture from full guard. Randy tries to free his leg and advance position but Balboa is retaining full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Balboa is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Balboa looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Balboa has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Randy uses from the top position. Balboa wants to get back to his feet but Randy is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Randy wants to control from the top but Balboa keeps moving. Balboa controls Randy momentarily but Randy frees himself. Randy pushing down on Balboa's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Balboa tries to get to full guard but Randy has control of the leg. Balboa is not content to let Randy control the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jack Balboa showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Randy is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Balboa content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Randy has locked up a guillotine! Randy's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Balboa is holding on here and Randy must be using up a lot of energy. Balboa has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Randy gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
