Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Joos Frank!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Patrick Starr!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, David Hoff and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Frank scores with a three punch combo!
Starr takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.

Frank shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Starr has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Frank decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Frank is looking to clinch but Starr is avoiding it.

Frank closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Frank lands in his opponent's guard.
Frank has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Starr is pulling down on Frank's head. It's preventing any offense from Frank, at least for the moment.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Frank wants to stand but Starr has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Frank throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Starr's head.

Frank lands a head kick. Starr smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

Starr wants to control but Frank is keeping him busy.

Starr is trying to get an arm triangle but Frank is defending well.

Starr wants to lay and pray for a moment but Frank keeps working.

Starr is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Frank knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Starr is trying to move to mount but Frank reverses beautifully and ends up in Starr's guard.

Starr is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Frank is defending well.
Starr has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Frank is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Frank jumps guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Frank wants to sweep here but Starr controlling him for the moment.
Starr is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Starr wants to pass the guard but Frank is keeping the position.

Frank can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Starr controls the pace.
Starr passes Frank's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Frank wants to get back to full guard.
Frank is controlling Starr's position as best he can from this difficult position.
Joos Frank overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Starr is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Frank defends it well.

Frank is defending against the submission attempts here by Starr.

Frank wants to control but Starr is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Starr wants to take a breather but Frank is having none of it.

Starr is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Frank doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Starr.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Starr wants to pass to mount but Frank is defending the position.
Frank is staying active underneath Starr, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Joos Frank is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Frank drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

That was a close second round but I would say that Joos Frank will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Frank is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Starr can do to turn this around?

Frank shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Starr is trying to defend but Frank finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Frank closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Starr keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Starr manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Frank trying to mount his opponent but Starr defends it.
Frank is taking a breather. Starr says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Frank thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Starr's head.

Starr wants to get back to full guard.
Frank seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Starr does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Starr on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Joos Frank seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Frank tries to close the distance and clinch but Starr swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Frank lands with a good body shot.
Frank scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

And that's the end of the fight!
Joos Frank showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Frank has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
