Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Giuseppe Whitehead (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kaiser Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kaiser Gracie has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Giuseppe Whitehead! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kaiser Gracie! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Daniel Franklin and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Whitehead closes the distance and pushes Gracie back into the cage. Gracie has picked Whitehead up - he's going for a ride! Gracie dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Whitehead wants to improve his position but Gracie is controlling well.
Whitehead is looking to escape. Whitehead blocking the ground and pound attempt from Gracie. Gracie is working for a submission of some sort.
Gracie seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Whitehead does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Whitehead pushes Gracie off looking to stand but Gracie dives back in and keeps control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gracie trying to control from half guard but Whitehead is working away. Gracie is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Whitehead is staying active underneath Gracie, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gracie is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Whitehead reverses the position - he's now on top in Gracie's guard. Gracie throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Gracie tries to land a sweep but no joy. Whitehead really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Gracie has an active guard here but Whitehead has managed to pass into half guard.

Whitehead knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gracie on the ground. Gracie slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Whitehead has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Whitehead is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Gracie lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Gracie sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Whitehead's guard. Gracie is looking to take a break and control but Whitehead is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gracie is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Gracie wants to control but Whitehead is keeping him busy. Whitehead is defending against the submission attempts here by Gracie.

No, Whitehead has managed to free his arm - good work. Gracie looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Gracie shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Gracie was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Whitehead is not content to let Gracie control the position. Kaiser Gracie has got the better of the ground game so far. Whitehead dodges the ground and pound from Gracie. Gracie wants to control but Whitehead is keeping him busy. Gracie goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Whitehead rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Gracie's guard! That's one minute gone in the round. Gracie is trying to control the position but Whitehead postures up. Whitehead controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Gracie is trying to keep Whitehead in close.

Gracie has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Whitehead can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Gracie is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Gracie is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Gracie has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Whitehead is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Gracie. Whitehead wants to lay and pray for a moment but Gracie keeps working. Whitehead lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Gracie down.
Gracie can't do much from the bottom here. Whitehead stands up and we're back to a striking position. Whitehead instigates a clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Whitehead wants to break the clinch but can't.
Gracie works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Whitehead is looking to stand back up but Gracie counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Whitehead. Whitehead wants to get back to his feet. Gracie seems to be working for a kimura but Whitehead defends the submission attempt. Whitehead tries to get to full guard but Gracie has control of the leg. Whitehead tries to kick Gracie off but Gracie keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Gracie is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Gracie is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gracie trying to mount his opponent but Whitehead defends it. Gracie works his way into full mount! Whitehead is squirming around, avoiding Gracie's attempts to control the action. Gracie might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Whitehead haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Whitehead wants to get back to his feet.
Gracie is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Whitehead is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Whitehead flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Gracie anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Whitehead and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Gracie slips an arm under Whitehead chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Gracie has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Gracie is squeezing on Whitehead like an anaconda would it's prey. Whitehead fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
