Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Roman Francis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyler Jensen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Roman Francis! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Tyler Jensen! The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Bart Greer and Dirk Anderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Francis tries to keep at a distance but Jensen has taken the fight into the clinch. Jensen trying to control the position but instead, Francis has worked for underhooks and has pushed Jensen into the cage. Jensen lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Francis lands with a short punch from the clinch.
It looks like Tyler Jensen has been cut. Jensen lands with a short punch from the clinch.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Jensen keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Francis's efforts to push away. Francis makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Jensen blocking some punches.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jensen's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Jensen has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Jensen throws a right and a left that both miss. Francis throws a lazy right hand but Jensen sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Francis definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Francis takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Thud! ouch! good body kick from Jensen - that will leave a mark!
Francis takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Roman Francis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jensen misses with a kick to the body and Francis cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Jensen scores with a kick to the midsection. Jensen looks to land a combination. Francis sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Francis cracks Jensen with a good jab. The fighters circle momentarily. Francis darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Jensen throws a mid kick that lands with a slap. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Francis throws a hook but Jensen avoids it easily. Francis misses with a straight left. Jensen wants to counter with a clinch but Francis pushes him away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jensen moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Francis misses with a hook
and Jensen counters with a stiff right hand. Jensen avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Francis lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Jensen at a distance.
A left lands for Francis. Jensen moves away from the strike by Francis. Jensen wants to counter with a clinch but Francis pushes him away. Francis throws a body punch but Jensen moves out of range. Jensen wants to counter the offense by Francis and move into the clinch position. Jensen slips under a jab. Jensen throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jensen throws an off balance right hand
and Jensen takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Jensen fakes the leg kick and cracks Francis in the body. Francis throws an overhand right that drops Jensen like a sack of potatoes! Francis dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Roman Francis! Roman Francis retains his light heavyweight title! Roman Francis bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
