Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Carlo Alvarez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dennis Oppelaar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 9 - 1, fighting out of New York, Carlo Alvarez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 37 - 33 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dennis Oppelaar!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Trevor Gratis and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oppelaar throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Alvarez moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Alvarez throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Alvarez misses with the combination.
Oppelaar throws a wild body kick that Alvarez sees coming a mile off.

Oppelaar closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

Oppelaar has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Dennis Oppelaar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Alvarez lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Oppelaar has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Oppelaar and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Alvarez is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Oppelaar can do to turn this around?

Come on Alvarez - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Alvarez takes a swing at Oppelaar's ribcage but misses.

The fighters circle momentarily. Alvarez darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Oppelaar throws a looping overhand right but Alvarez ducks down to avoid it.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Alvarez, as that shot connected.
Oppelaar is still on wobbly legs! Can Alvarez finish him?
Oppelaar throws the left hand but Alvarez avoids the punch easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Alvarez's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

He turns his back on Alvarez, trying to create some distance but Alvarez rushes him, striking wildly and Oppelaar goes down! The referee tackles Alvarez into the cage to end the fight! Alvarez is one violent man!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:51 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Carlo Alvarez!
After the fight, Carlo Alvarez was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
