Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jakke Ruutu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Melvin Gustin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ruutu comes to the cage accompanied by 50 Cent - I'm Supposed to Die Tonight. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
36 - 17 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Jakke Ruutu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
24 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Melvin Gustin!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Dillan Fox and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ruutu with a hook.
It looks like Melvin Gustin has been cut.
Gustin swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Ruutu.
Ruutu lands a big right hand that sends Gustin crashing to the mat! Ruutu stays standing though and waves Gustin back to his feet!
Gustin is rocked!
Ruutu slips a jab and a cross from Gustin.
Ruutu throws a big counter combination but Gustin scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Gustin is still on wobbly legs! Can Ruutu finish him?
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Gustin tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Ruutu manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Ruutu throws a big counter combination but Gustin scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
No joy there for Ruutu, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Gustin has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
A nice combination there by Gustin.
Gustin tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Ruutu manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Gustin closes the distance and pushes Ruutu back into the cage.
Ruutu misses with a hook from the clinch.
Gustin blocks an uppercut.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Gustin.
Ruutu lands a right hand that snaps the head of Gustin backwards.
Gustin pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Gustin tries a head kick but it misses.
Gustin throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Ruutu sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Gustin fails in his attempt to clinch.
Ruutu measures up his opponent and throws a superman punch that connects to the jaw! Down goes Gustin! The ref steps in, and that's the ball game folks!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Superman Punch). Jakke Ruutu!
Jakke Ruutu was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
