Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Genaro Petty (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and William McDonald (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). William McDonald looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Genaro Petty! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, William McDonald! The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Phil Schofield and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McDonald throws a head kick that half lands.
It looks like Genaro Petty has been cut. Petty closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Petty lands in his opponent's guard. McDonald has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Petty has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage. Petty jumps guard but McDonald turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. McDonald pulls Petty into guard.
Petty could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Petty trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Petty works over McDonald with some ground and pound from guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Petty working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Petty gets to his feet - McDonald follows without any prompting. Petty changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. McDonald looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. McDonald bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet! McDonald looks winded!
That's one minute gone in the round. Excellent takedown into side control there by McDonald. Petty wants to control but McDonald postures up. Petty tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but McDonald wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Petty holds on to McDonald's head and controls the position momentarily. McDonald working away. McDonald in the domination position with Petty hanging on. A lull in the action here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Petty controls the position for a moment. You can see the frustration on Petty's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. McDonald thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Petty struggling a bit here.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Petty closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. McDonald quickly recovers to half guard. Petty working the head and body with strikes. Petty is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. McDonald trying to hold on to Petty's head to control him but Petty postures up.
Petty has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. McDonald punching from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Petty prevents McDonald from standing back up.
Petty is nestled in close to McDonald, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Petty scoring with strikes to the body and head. Petty looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Petty stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows McDonald to get to his feet. William McDonald seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. McDonald drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Petty is holding McDonald down, trying to stall. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but William McDonald will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Genaro Petty's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Petty fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. McDonald sprawls well initially but Petty persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Petty passes into side control, despite McDonald's attempt to control the position.
McDonald is trying to work for a sweep but Petty has mounted him! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Petty cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Petty lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Petty lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
McDonald is rocked!
It looks like William McDonald has been cut. McDonald is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Petty lands a heavy shot. That's hurt McDonald! Petty sees the opportunity and turns up the heat - strike after strike land to the defenseless McDonald and the ref dives in to save him! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:21 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Genaro Petty!
