Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ian Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ricky Steamboat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smith comes to the cage accompanied by Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap by AC/DC. Steamboat comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Lorde - Tennis Court kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! On his way into the cage it seems that Ian Smith has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Ian Smith seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Steamboat doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Smith connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Steamboat takes a head kick and keeps coming.
It looks like Ricky Steamboat has been cut.
Smith catches Steamboat with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
We've been told by Smith's head coaches at ~T~ Troid - Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Steamboat fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Steamboat gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Steamboat shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Smith sprawls well. Smith wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Steamboat gets slowly back to his feet.

and Smith counters with a big uppercut that knocks Steamboat off his feet! Smith dives into side control looking to finish!

Smith is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Smith has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Smith lands a couple of good shots and Steamboat has given up his back, trying to escape the position!
What can Steamboat do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
Smith has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Steamboat takes a huge shot to the dome and he's out cold! Big knockout! Smith celebrates with his corner and points to his sponsors on a baseball cap.

Ian Smith gave a mention to King of Fists in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
Ricky Steamboat was interviewed post fight and said 'Good win to for my opponent will be back'.
