Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Wilbert Johnston!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Brendan Conlon!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Paul Aken and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Conlon fails with a takedown attempt.

Johnston drives through and clinches with Conlon against the cage.
Johnston wants to get back to striking at distance but Conlon won't allow it.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Conlon keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Johnston's efforts to push away.
Conlon is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Johnston pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Johnston shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Conlon eats them both and turns towards Johnston to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Conlon fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Johnston, pushing him back against the cage.

Johnston wants the takedown. Conlon is fighting it off but Johnston persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Conlon's guard against the cage.

Johnston is looking to work some ground and pound but Conlon has wrist control.
Johnston might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Johnston is pressed up against the cage. Conlon has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Johnston down to the mat. Johnston avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Johnston closes the distance and clinches up with Conlon, looking for a takedown. Johnston pushes Conlon against the cage but Conlon circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Johnston is trying to force a seperation but Conlon has the dominant position.

Conlon is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Conlon has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Johnston is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Conlon wants to take the fight to the mat but Johnston manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Johnston ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Johnston no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Johnston is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Conlon defends well.
