Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Edward Lynch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Peter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Edward Lynch! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Daniel Peter! The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Konstantin Menshow and Illya Tyunina.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Peter is trying hard to land a takedown here. Lynch sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Lynch drops down looking for a counter takedown but Peter sprawls and moves away. Lynch changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Peter tries to avoid it but Lynch manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Peter to the ground. Peter escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Peter shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Lynch but Lynch pushes him off and we're back to square one. Nice sprawl there from Peter as Lynch shoots in. Lynch shoots in but no luck this time. Peter is clearly looking to counter with head kicks. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Edward Lynch. That's going to take a lot out of him. Peter closes the distance and clinches. Lynch tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Peter just stands there and leans against the cage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Peter is trying to drag Lynch to the mat but Lynch just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Lynch has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Peter uses from the top position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Peter content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Peter wants to get up but he can't break Lynch's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Lynch controls Peter momentarily but Peter frees himself. Lynch is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Peter dives into side control.
Peter controls the position from side control. Peter has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Lynch tries to improve position but can't. Peter is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Peter is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Lynch is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lynch tries to buck Peter off but Peter is having none of it. Lynch wings away with a couple of strikes but they don't land. Peter lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Lynch down.
Peter is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Lynch has escaped the position, nice work there. Peter wants to stand but Lynch has his arm trapped. Peter has control of an arm but Lynch manages to advance to Peter's back!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Peter tries to break free.
Peter keeps trying to improve his position. Lynch not allowing Peter to control his hands. Lynch is looking to control Peter but Peter is wriggling around and keeping busy. Lynch tightening his grip on Peter, looking for the choke. Lynch slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
Peter manages to scramble and ends up in full guard, under a barage of strikes . Great composure from Peter. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Peter can do anything to dispel that myth. Lynch wants to control from the top but Peter keeps moving.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Peter is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Lynch trying to control but Peter is working from the bottom. Peter looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Peter has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Peter escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Lynch gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Lynch trying to control but Peter is working from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Daniel Peter dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Peter. Peter tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. Lynch wants to control but Peter postures up. Lynch being controlled for a moment. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Peter working the ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Peter gets to mount! Lynch was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly. Lynch wants to hold on but Peter pushes him away. Peter controlling the position easily from mount. Lynch tries to hold on but Peter pushes him away. Peter content just to control the position here. Peter is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Lynch can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Peter has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Lynch wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lynch wants to get back to his feet. Peter looking for the RNC. Lynch manages to reverse the position and now he's in Peter's guard. Nice work there by Lynch.
Lynch wants to control from the top but Peter keeps moving. Peter looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Lynch throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Peter works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Lynch trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Lynch throws an elbow that misses. Peter uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Lynch's guard. Nice move by Peter!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lynch striking from his own guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lynch being controlled here, momentarily. Lynch will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Peter is standing up over Lynch. Lynch looks to escape but Peter dives into side control.
Peter is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Lynch has escaped the position, nice work there. Daniel Peter has got the better of the ground game so far. Lynch throws an elbow to the body but it doesn't land. Lynch throws Peter to one side and escapes!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lynch rushes Peter and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Lynch tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Peter gets a trip takedown into half guard. Lynch wants to get back to his feet. Peter content to control rather than advance. Lynch taking some punishment here, with Peter in his half guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Peter with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Lynch connecting with a few gentle strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Daniel Peter showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
Lynch gets caught flat footed, as Peter shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Peter is standing up over Lynch. Lynch looks to escape but Peter dives into side control.
Peter thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. A control attempt from Lynch but he's now mounted! Lynch is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Peter stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing. Lynch tries a head kick but it misses.
Peter drives through with a takedown into Lynch's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Lynch pushes Peter off and scrambles back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Peter displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Lynch. Peter steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Lynch. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Peter shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Lynch manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Lynch wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Peter manages to pass to side control. Peter content to control rather than advance. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Peter seems to be looking for submissions.
Peter is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Lynch is looking for a sweep. Peter is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Lynch looks like he's trying to stand up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Peter is taking a breather. Lynch says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Peter wants to stand up but Lynch is controlling the position.
Peter drops an elbow to the side of Lynch's head. Peter wants to pass to mount but Lynch is defending the position. Lynch is trying to escape back to his feet but Peter uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Lynch tries to get back to half guard but can't. Daniel Peter is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Lynch tries to control but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad. Lynch is flailing around like a fish out of water, trying to land strikes. Peter controlling the pace for now. Lynch is in all sorts of trouble here.
Lynch is trying to stand but he's not in a good position to be doing that! Peter has taken his back! Peter is riding his opponent, not letting Lynch buck him off. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Peter working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. Lynch is doing well to defend. Peter seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! Lynch is forced to tap and this one is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Daniel Peter! A relieved looking Daniel Peter thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
