Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Zephaniah Judah! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Paul Warror! The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, John Roberts and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Warror jabs at Judah's body. Warror throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Judah sees it coming and avoids it easily. Judah cracks Warror with a good jab. Judah misses with a body shot.
Warror keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Warror digs a good hook to Judah's body.
A punch combination from Judah misses. Judah throws out a loose jab but Warror uses good head movement to avoid it. Warror takes a body punch but keeps moving. Judah scores with a hook to the body. Warror takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Judah throws a body punch but Warror moves out of range. Warror is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch. Judah missing with a left hand there. Warror was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Warror avoids the body shot from Judah.
Judah stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Judah fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Warror manages to avoid it. Warror lands with a shot to the body. Judah throws a lazy uppercut
and Warror counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Warror moves out of range as Judah strikes. Judah misses with a straight left. Judah misses with an uppercut. Warror uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Judah.
That's one minute gone in the round. Judah throws the left hand but Warror avoids the punch easily. A jab lands there for Warror. Judah swings for the body but Warror moves out of range.
Warror clobbers Judah with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. A telegraphed right hand from Warror misses the target. Judah throws a hook to the side of Warror's head but Warror sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Judah lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Judah paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Judah looks to land a right hand but Warror moved out of range. Warror scores with a nice head shot. Judah throws a good cross that connects.
Warror throws a right and a left that both miss. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Warror is looking to clinch. Sloppy strikes from Warror. Those never looked like landing. Judah misses with an uppercut
letting Warror counter with a right hand. Warror slips a jab from Judah. Judah misses the shot to the body. Judah looks to throw the jab but Warror is out of range. Warror takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Warror steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Judah. Judah gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Warror gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:10 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Paul Warror! A very excited looking Paul Warror made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
