The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Chris Downing and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Karjalainen defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Kononov.
Kononov shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Karjalainen counters with a leg kick.
Potap Kononov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Karjalainen throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Kononov stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Kononov fails to land the takedown.
Karjalainen went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Teemu Karjalainen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Potap Kononov.
Kononov takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

and Karjalainen counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

and Karjalainen counters with a crisp right that sends Kononov to the canvas! Karjalainen follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!
