Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Malakai Rex (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Georgi Stanev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stanev has chosen Shinedown - Cut the Cord as his entrance music. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Russell Pearce and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Stanev, right into the meat.
Stanev blocks a head kick by Rex.
Stanev shoots in and gets a takedown into Rex's guard.
Rex has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.
Rex wants to get back to his feet but Stanev is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Stanev stands up from Rex's guard - Stanev perhaps looking for a knockout.
Rex misses with a series of wild punches.
Rex looks to score with a jab to the body but Stanev is just out of range.

Rex walks forward, straight into a front kick from Stanev.
Stanev tries a head kick but it misses.
Stanev throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Rex tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Stanev is in Rex's guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Stanev stands and steps away. Rex gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Stanev shoots in looking for a takedown but Rex manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Stanev's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Stanev is trying to drag Rex to the mat but Rex just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Rex clobbers Stanev with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Stanev changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Rex tries to avoid it but Stanev manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Rex to the ground. Rex escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Malakai Rex has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Georgi Stanev.

Stanev is trying hard to land a takedown here. Rex sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Stanev drives through with a takedown into Rex's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Rex will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Rex manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
Stanev has picked Rex up - he's going for a ride! Stanev dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Rex manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Stanev keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Stanev dodges an elbow strike from Rex.
Stanev gets control of Rex's arms and successfully pulls guard. Stanev will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
The fighters are working up against the cage. Stanev manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
Rex breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Rex looks for the body kick but Stanev saw that one coming.
Stanev is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Rex's half guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Georgi Stanev seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Stanev throws a sloppy head kick and Rex moves out of range easily.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Oooooh!!! Rex has knocked Stanev down with a huge combo! Rex steps away and waves a wobbly Stanev back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

It looks like Georgi Stanev has been cut.
Stanev gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Rex gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:22 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Malakai Rex!
Malakai Rex very nearly forgot to thank St.Petes Health and Nutrition amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
