Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jack Durgin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gerry Pounder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Durgin might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Halloween. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jack Durgin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gerry Pounder! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Chris Downing and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Durgin throws a right hand that Pounder ducks under and follows up with a left that Pounder also avoids with ease. And Pounder tries to counter it with a takedown but Durgin pushes his down on his head and steps out. A right-left combo lands from Durgin.
It looks like Gerry Pounder has been cut. Durgin fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Pounder uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Durgin. Pounder closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Pounder trying to control the position but Durgin is working away. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Pounder tries to score with some ground and pound. Durgin controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Pounder tries to move into full mount but can't pass Durgin's legs. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Durgin is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Sloppy strikes there by Pounder. Durgin is not content to let Pounder control the position. Durgin being controlled for a moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pounder working the ground and pound. Pounder landing a few strikes. Durgin tries to buck Pounder off but Pounder is having none of it. Durgin is not content to let Pounder control the position. Pounder is trying to get an arm triangle but Durgin is defending well. Pounder landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pounder is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Durgin knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Pounder is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Durgin will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Durgin tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Pounder easily slips into full mount! Pounder lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Durgin hang on? Pounder lands a big shot there that rocks Durgin but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Pounder controlling his opponent. Pounder scores with a couple of good head shots there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Durgin is trying to escape the mount.

Durgin is rocked! Pounder scoring with strikes but Durgin is staying in there. Oh Durgin is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Durgin keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Pounder lands a big shot there that rocks Durgin but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Durgin is wriggling around trying to escape.
Durgin is working hard here to advance position. Pounder tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Durgin takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Pounder's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
