The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rakasirarat closes this distance looking for a takedown but machida circles away.
Rakasirarat swats away the attempt to clinch by machida.

Rakasirarat closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

machida is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Rakasirarat's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Rakasirarat's back!
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - machida's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.

machida is working for a rear naked choke. Rakasirarat is not defending it well and machida has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Rakasirarat refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Rakasirarat's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
