Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ilya Krutov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dale Rogers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dale Rogers!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Steve Montenegro and John Roberts.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rogers is looking to clinch.
A little feinted left hand from Krutov on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Krutov cracks Rogers with a right hand to the side of the head.


It looks like Dale Rogers has been cut.
Rogers wants to clinch up but Krutov keeps it at a distance.
Krutov waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Rogers.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Rogers! But no joy.

Rogers rushes Krutov and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Krutov makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Krutov misses with a short punch on the inside.

Rogers stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.

Krutov tries to work over Rogers's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Rogers tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Krutov's elbow.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Krutov knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Rogers on the ground.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Krutov has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Rogers has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Krutov can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Rogers is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Rogers is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Krutov avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rogers wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Krutov sitting in guard here, content to control.
Krutov would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Krutov throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Rogers swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.

Krutov lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Rogers or not.
Krutov lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Krutov struggles to land a body shot inside as Rogers controls his hands.

Rogers manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rogers controls Krutov momentarily but Krutov frees himself.
Rogers has a closed guard, preventing Krutov from standing up.

Krutov got a little sloppy there for a moment and Rogers has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Krutov has managed to get both his arms back between Rogers's legs - danger averted.

Rogers escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Krutov gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Rogers working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Krutov doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Rogers is tightening it up a little... Krutov has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Krutov reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Krutov taps out! Nice BJJ there by Rogers!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Dale Rogers!
A less than humble Dale Rogers misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
