Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shane Haag (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Justin Riddle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shane Haag looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Eddie Farnsworth and Columbo Gatti.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Haag fails with an attempt to clinch.
Haag dodges the punch combination from Riddle.
Riddle digs a good body shot into Haag's ribs.
Riddle throws a right and a left that Haag avoids nicely.
Riddle throws a right and a left that both miss.
Haag swats away the attempt to clinch by Riddle.
Haag with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Riddle to score with a decent uppercut.

Haag looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Haag is breathing heavily.

Riddle controls Haag momentarily but Haag frees himself.

Riddle shoots and misses
and Haag counters with a stiff right hand.
Haag looks to clinch

and Riddle counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Riddle.
Haag is trying to break free.

Riddle pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Riddle lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Riddle goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Riddle lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Riddle.

Riddle rushes Haag and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Riddle is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Haag can't fight it off and eventually Riddle manages to take the fight to the floor. Haag looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Riddle stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Haag takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Riddle closes the distance and clinches.
Riddle tries to score a body lock takedown but Haag shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Haag is working Riddle over against the cage.
Haag can't get the takedown.
Haag goes for a takedown attempt but Riddle pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Haag throws a combination that misses
and Riddle counters with a one-two to the body.
Haag closes the distance looking to clinch
and Riddle counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Haag fails with the takedown
and Riddle connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Shane Haag. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Haag moves out of range of the body kick from Riddle.
Riddle cracks a nice hook into Haag's ribs.
Riddle misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Riddle rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Haag moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Shane Haag is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Riddle gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Haag.

Riddle looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Haag!

Well Riddle has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
