Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between AJ Foster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steven Flarence (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, AJ Foster! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Steven Flarence! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Chris Downing and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Flarence throws a hook but Foster blocks it. Foster uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Flarence. Foster ducks under a wild hook from Flarence. Flarence throws a head kick that misses. A telegraphed right hand from Flarence misses the target. Flarence throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Flarence misses with a body kick. Flarence pushes Foster away with a front kick. A solid body kick from Flarence. Foster blocks a head kick by Flarence.
Foster ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Foster forces Flarence back against the cage and clinches. A short uppercut from Foster. Flarence misses with a knee strike.
Foster tightens his grip and picks Flarence up, before dumping him to the ground. Flarence manages to land in guard. Foster postures up in Flarence's guard and throws a big left but Flarence blocks it. Foster stands up from Flarence's guard - Foster perhaps looking for a knockout. Flarence throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Foster. Flarence looks gassed! Foster shoots in and drives through. Flarence sprawls well. Foster has managed to clinch.
Flarence wants to break the clinch but can't.
Flarence is trying to break free. Foster gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Flarence really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Foster. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's one minute gone in the round. Foster pushing down on Flarence's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Well, if Foster is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Foster stops Flarence from getting back to his feet.
Foster postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Flarence to stand up. Flarence throws a nice outside leg kick. Foster looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Foster is figuring out what he wants to do next. Foster uses his free foot to push down on Flarence's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Flarence.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Flarence taking shots to the head. Foster with a couple of short strikes. Foster landing punches. Foster pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Flarence throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing. Foster cracks Flarence with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Foster stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing. Flarence pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Foster shoots in but no luck this time. Steven Flarence is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Foster blocks a head kick by Flarence.
Flarence gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Flarence keeping moving, preventing Foster from controlling successfully.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Foster controls from within his opponent's guard. Flarence thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Flarence is striking but Foster is not phased and passes to half guard. Foster is looking for a kimura here.
Flarence is trying to stand back up but Foster is controlling him
Foster stands up and beckons Flarence to join him on the feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Foster. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for AJ Foster. That's going to take a lot out of him. Flarence keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Flarence thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Foster if he has to take too many more of those.
A slapping leg kick lands for Flarence.
Foster misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Flarence lands with a nice body kick. Flarence throws a head kick but Foster moves out of range.
Foster shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Flarence's guard. Flarence is looking to stand back up but Foster counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Flarence. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Foster is tying to control. Flarence wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Flarence is looking for a sweep. Foster is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
AJ Foster dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Flarence throws a head kick that misses. Flarence throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Foster closes the distance and clinches up with Flarence, looking for a takedown. Foster pushes Flarence against the cage but Flarence circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. AJ Foster is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Foster takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Foster clinches up with Flarence and pushes him back against the cage. Flarence wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Foster breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Foster fails with a takedown attempt. Foster shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Flarence's guard. Flarence wants to get back to his feet but Foster passes into half guard.
Flarence is refusing to be controlled, as Foster sits in half guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Foster frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Foster lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Flarence hang on?
That's one minute gone in the round. Foster thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Foster looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Foster jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Flarence manages to avoid the submission attempt. Foster has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Flarence is trying to get back to half guard. Foster decides to take the fight back to the feet. Flarence lands a high kick!
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Foster shoots for a double leg takedown but Flarence sprawls well. He's pushed Foster's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for AJ Foster. That's going to take a lot out of him. A head kick misses from Flarence. Foster blocks a head kick by Flarence.

Foster drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Foster trying to control the position from guard on top but Flarence is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Foster preventing the sweep. Foster sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Flarence's guard. Foster is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Foster is looking to take a break and control but Flarence is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Foster throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Flarence missing with punches from the bottom.
Flarence throws a strike from the bottom but Foster passes into side control!
Flarence strikes from the bottom but Foster takes advantage and advances to full mount! Foster dominating with strikes here. Foster trying to control but Flarence is having none of it. Flarence keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Foster controlling his opponent. Foster wants to control the pace but Flarence is squirming around nicely. Flarence swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing. Flarence throwing hammer fists to the chest of Foster. What's that going to do exactly? Foster landing punches. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
AJ Foster dominated that second round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!
Flarence misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Flarence throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Foster closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Flarence is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Foster jumps into side control! Flarence throws a punch from the bottom, which has left him a bit exposed here… Foster has an arm triangle now. This could be big trouble for Flarence. He's out! He's out cold! The ref pulls Foster off and Foster celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:33 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). AJ Foster!
