Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between eric buto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Rogers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). buto comes into the arena with Little Wonder blaring out of the sound system. This should be a great matchup!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rogers throws a right and a left that both miss.
buto staying out of range there.

buto shoots in but Rogers avoids the takedown attempt easily.
buto shoots in for a double leg but Rogers sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Some bone on bone action there as buto checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Rogers has control of buto's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and buto regains control of the situation pretty easily.
buto really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Rogers drops back, looking for a kneebar! buto looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. buto looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from buto!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Rogers has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Rogers goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now buto is on top in guard.

Rogers had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. buto is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Rogers Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take buto's back instead.
