Coming up we have a bantamweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Ivan Putski and Erkki Elastinen. Elastinen has chosen Cascada - Dangerous as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the bantamweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Hilo, with a TWGC record of 6 wins and 3 losses; Ivan Putski! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Helsinki, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 2 losses; Erkki Elastinen!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Reed Andrews and John Kavanagh.


The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Elastinen.
Elastinen fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Putski half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Putski shoots in looking for a takedown. Elastinen tries to sprawl out of it but Putski keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Elastinen manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Elastinen feints and as Putski raises his hands in defense, Elastinen changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

We've been hearing good reports from Putski's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Putski is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Putski has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Elastinen is desperately trying to improve his position but Putski has a good base and remains in mount.
Putski will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Elastinen wants to control but Putski is having none of it.

Putski is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Elastinen is just riding it out for now. Putski eventually gives up the hold.

Elastinen has his foot on Putski's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Putski works his way back into a safe position though.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Elastinen might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Putski haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Putski takes the fight on points by 13 to 11.
