Coming up we have a bantamweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Segey Taranin and Domagoj Glavas. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the bantamweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of St Petersburg, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 1 losses; Segey Taranin! And in the blue corner, fighting out of London, with a TWGC record of 11 wins and 2 losses; Domagoj Glavas! The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Igor Prikhodko and Sergei Dronov.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Glavas tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Taranin keeps the fight on the outside. Taranin tries to counter with a takedown but Glavas is quick to defend against it. Taranin avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Glavas tries to keep at a distance but Taranin has taken the fight into the clinch. Glavas ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Glavas no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Taranin wants to pass the guard but Glavas is keeping the position. Glavas looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Taranin is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Glavas trying to keep a closed guard but Taranin is proving a slippery customer.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Taranin looking to pass the guard. Glavas has an active guard here but Taranin has managed to pass into half guard.
We've been hearing good reports from Taranin's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Glavas wants to control but Taranin is keeping busy.
That's one minute gone in the round. Taranin tries to pass to full mount but Glavas defends it. Glavas is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Taranin pulls his head out easily. Glavas looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Taranin works his way into side control. Taranin working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Glavas sneaks back into half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Glavas wants to control but Taranin is keeping busy and won't allow it. Taranin seems to be working for a kimura but Glavas defends the submission attempt. Glavas tries to get to full guard but Taranin has control of the leg.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Glavas is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Taranin pulls his head out easily. Taranin is looking to advance position but Glavas won't allow it. Glavas regains full guard. Nicely done. Glavas had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Taranin defends it easily. Glavas working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Taranin doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Taranin manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Glavas working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Taranin doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Taranin manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Taranin stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Glavas swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Taranin wants to control from the top but Glavas keeps moving. Taranin stands and throws Glavas's legs to the side, diving into side control. Score +3 for passing guard: Taranin (6) vs (0) Glavas Glavas tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Taranin wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Glavas is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Taranin in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Glavas is tapping!
