Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rod Stiffington (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Haruto Rento (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stiffington comes to the cage accompanied by Boogie Nights. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Bart Greer and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rento misses with a looping left.
Stiffington tries to counter with a takedown but Rento is quick to defend against it.
Rento throws an off balance right hand
and Stiffington counters with a takedown into side control.
Rento tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Stiffington easily slips into full mount!
Stiffington controlling the pace for now.
Rento is trying to escape the mount.
Stiffington lands a couple of good shots and Rento has given up his back, trying to escape the position!
Stiffington misses with punches from the back.
Rento is in bad spot here.
Rento takes a big shot to the side of the head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Rento looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Rento is covering up but some of the strikes from Stiffington are getting through and doing damage.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rento is taking damage to the body and head.
Stiffington has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

A helpless look comes across Rento 's face. He knows he's trapped as Stiffington lands a series of unanswered strikes. The ref steps in to stop the fight and this one is in the books!

After winning the bout, Rod Stiffington thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
