0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bob Barker! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Steve Smith and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice sprawl there from Barker as Yacht shoots in. Barker getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Nice takedown defense from Barker. No joy for Yacht on that attempt. Raymond Yacht seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Yacht blocks a head kick by Barker.
No luck for Barker with that takedown attempt. Barker throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. That's going to take a lot out of him. Barker gets caught flat footed, as Yacht shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Barker can do anything to dispel that myth. Barker keeping moving, preventing Yacht from controlling successfully. Barker looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Yacht pushes down on Barker's leg and manages to get into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Yacht moves into full mount! Barker won't be happy about that! Barker is looking to improve his position but Yacht isn't that keen on the idea. Yacht is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Barker is surviving well by controlling Yacht's body position as best he can. Barker is working to get back to half guard.
Yacht is going olschool here, as he tries to force Barker to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Barker shrugs it off. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Yacht trying to control but Barker is having none of it. Yacht working for a guillotine from mount but Barker is in no mood to give up. Yacht is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Barker tries to lock up and control but Yacht gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Yacht is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Barker can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Barker tries to improve his position but Yacht has taken his back! Yacht has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Barker tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Yacht pushes Barker away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
