Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
12 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Leandro Jones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

12 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mario Puzo!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, George Francis and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Puzo stuffs the takedown.
Jones avoids the head kick by Puzo.
Jones tries a low kick but Puzo avoids it.
Puzo is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Jones with a body shot.
Puzo comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Jones uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Puzo.
Puzo punishes Jones's body with a nice straight punch.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Jones gets control of Puzo's arms and successfully pulls guard. Jones will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Jones uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Puzo missing with a left hand there. Jones was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Puzo tries to land a leg kick but Jones saw it coming and moves away.
Jones showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Puzo.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Jones blocks a leg kick.

Puzo will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
An attempted straight right counter from Jones misses the target.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Jones.
Puzo gets tackled into the cage by Jones. Jones maintains the clinch.
Puzo has had enough of the clinch but Jones keeps him there for the moment.
Puzo takes an elbow to the forehead.
Puzo's coach down at Tayne's 4d3d3d3 Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Puzo's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Puzo can't break the clinch.
Jones manages to break the clinch.
Jones is looking to clinch.
Nice sprawl there from Puzo as Jones shoots in.

Puzo is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Jones is keeping busy.
Puzo breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Jones tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Puzo just stands there and leans against the cage.
Puzo is trying to force a seperation but Jones has the dominant position.
Puzo has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Puzo tries to break the clinch but Jones is controlling the position.
Puzo is trying to push Jones away but Jones has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Puzo lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Jones makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.

Jones has Puzo pressed against the cage, preventing Puzo from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Puzo breaks from the clinch.
Jones wants to clinch.
Puzo staying out of range there.
Puzo slaps away a takedown attempt from Jones, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Puzo takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Jones shoots in but Puzo avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Puzo fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Jones on the side of the head.
Mario Puzo is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Jones closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Jones is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Jones is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Puzo has managed to free his arm - good work.
Puzo is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Puzo can do anything to dispel that myth.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Jones is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Puzo is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!

Leandro Jones bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
