Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Buford Lane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luan Barros (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Buford Lane! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Luan Barros! The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Alexandre Firmino and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Barros gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Lane to score an easy takedown into full guard. Barros manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Lane could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Barros closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Lane to the mat! Lane manages to get full guard. Lane is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Lane breaks from the clinch.
Barros tries to clinch but Lane is having none of it. Lane gets a takedown into half guard. Lane is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Barros looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Lane lands strikes from half guard. Barros is looking to improve his position.
Lane has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Lane looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Lane stands up out of the half guard. Lane looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Lane scoring with strikes to the body and head. Barros is trying to maintain the position but Lane is very close to passing his half guard. Ground and pound from Lane. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Barros is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Lane scores with a couple of nice shots. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Lane lands a nice short elbow. Lane scoring with strikes to the body and head. Lane scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Barros is trying to maintain the position but Lane is very close to passing his half guard. Barros looks winded! Lane is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Barros is rocked! Lane is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Barros is hurt! He's hurt bad - Lane fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Barros from any more punishment! Congratulations to Lane! Great finish!
