Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Adam Ash (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Myers Hockles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

19 - 22 - 1, fighting out of New York, Myers Hockles! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hockles throws a sloppy head kick and Ash moves out of range easily. Hockles walks into a left hand. Ash closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Hockles's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Myers Hockles is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Hockles uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Ash.
Hockles dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Ash. That did some damage! Ash lands with a nice combination. Hockles backs away looking to recover. Ash will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Hockles is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Ash bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Adam Ash is winning the standup battle so far. Ash blocks the body kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ash connects with a right hand. Hockles shakes it off. Ash tries to clinch but Hockles moves away and Hockles counters with a left and a right that stings Ash. Hockles shoots in for a takedown but Ash shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. A right-left combo lands from Ash. Hockles gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. The fight stays on the outside here - Ash looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Hockles shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Hockles showed some decent athleticism there. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Hockles prevents Ash from improving his position. Hockles wants to work for an arm triangle but Ash is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Hockles avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! The fighters circle momentarily. Ash darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Ash throws a lazy right hand but Hockles sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. A nice side step and Hockles releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. Ash lands with a cross. It looks like Ash has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him. Ash scores with a nice head shot. Ash throws a hook but Hockles avoids it easily.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Adam Ash. I think Ash has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
