Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ronald Rousey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Artie DeVanzo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rousey comes to the cage accompanied by Creepy Jackalope Eye by Supersuckers. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

30 - 18 - 1, fighting out of New York, Artie DeVanzo!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rousey fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging DeVanzo to the ground. Rousey is now in DeVanzo's guard.
DeVanzo managing to control the position.
Rousey trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Rousey is working hard here to advance position.
Rousey wants to control from the top but DeVanzo keeps moving.
Rousey is really struggling to control DeVanzo but he's trying to hold on to the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Rousey tries to counter with a takedown but DeVanzo is quick to defend against it.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that DeVanzo has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
DeVanzo tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Rousey avoids it.
Rousey pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

and DeVanzo counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from DeVanzo.
DeVanzo fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Rousey looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

A looping hook to the body misses from DeVanzo. Rousey does a little dance to reset his feet.
Rousey feinted with a counter takedown.
DeVanzo misses with a low kick.
Rousey uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by DeVanzo.
Rousey throws a head kick but DeVanzo moves out of range.
Rousey gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Rousey throws a hook to the side of DeVanzo's head but DeVanzo sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from DeVanzo! But no joy.
DeVanzo looks to land a body kick but Rousey moved away.
DeVanzo throws a hook but Rousey avoids it easily.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Rousey walks into a left hand.
It looks like Ronald Rousey has been cut.
Rousey is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by DeVanzo.
DeVanzo is looking to clinch.
Rousey swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Well DeVanzo has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

A very excited looking Artie DeVanzo made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
Ronald Rousey was interviewed post fight and said 'My hat's off to my opponent. He fought a great fight and won fair and square. I'm glad we were able to put on an exciting fight for you fans. Give it up, people!'.
