Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Billy Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tomas Lindberg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smith comes to the cage accompanied by Sam and Dave - Hold On I'm Coming. Lindberg has chosen At The Gates - The Book of Sand as his entrance music. Tomas Lindberg has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Billy Smith! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tomas Lindberg! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Robert Twigg and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A left lands for Lindberg. Lindberg misses with a wild body shot. Lindberg gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Smith. Smith with a jab. Lindberg fails in his attempt to clinch. The fighters circling - Lindberg throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Smith is looking to counter punch. Smith slips under a jab from Lindberg. Smith throws a low kick but it's checked well by Lindberg. Lindberg will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Lindberg throws a body shot but no joy. Lindberg is looking to clinch but Smith is avoiding it.
Smith uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Lindberg.
Lindberg cracks a nice hook into Smith's ribs. Smith throws a leg kick but Lindberg moved away. A little jabbing left from Lindberg on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Lindberg throws a jab when Smith was well out of range. Lindberg swings widly with a right hand
and Smith counters with a good low kick that Lindberg was not able to check. Smith feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Lindbergs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Smith lands a jab. Smith avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

That's one minute gone in the round. Lindberg keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Smith. Smith looks to land a left hand but Lindberg moved out of range nicely. The fighters circling - Lindberg throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Some bone on bone action there as Lindberg checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Lindberg misses with a looping right. Smith is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Lindberg blocks a jab. Decent striking displayed by Smith there. Lindberg throws an overhand right that lands on Smith's shoulder, as Smith tries to avoid the shot. Smith looks to land a right hand but Lindberg moved out of range. We've been informed that Lindberg has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Lindberg dips to his left and cracks Smith with an uppercut! Nice defenses there by Smith. Lindberg slips a straight right by Smith. Lindberg shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Smith eats them both and turns towards Lindberg to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Lindberg connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Smith misses with a body shot.
Smith misses the shot to the body. Smith throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Lindberg stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Lindberg wants to clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lindberg lands a jab. Smith uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Lindberg. Lindberg sizes up Smith with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Smith lands with a good body shot. Smith keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Lindberg. Lindberg blocks a jab. Smith looks to throw the jab but Lindberg is out of range. Lindberg throws a jab when Smith was well out of range. Lindberg ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Lindberg scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Smith misses with a hook. Lindberg ducked under it nicely. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Lindberg! But no joy. Lindberg clinches. Smith lands with a short head shot on the inside. Smith tries to break the clinch but Lindberg is controlling the position. Smith fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lindberg misses with a body punch.
Lindberg gets through Smith's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Lindberg throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Smiths head. Lindberg misses with some punches.

Smith throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Lindberg misses with a punch to the body.

Smith is rocked! Lindberg misses with a hook from the clinch. Oh Smith is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Lindberg has a couple of punches blocked by Smith.

Lindberg creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Smith's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Smith drops to his knees and Lindberg pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tomas Lindberg! Tomas Lindberg really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that M.O. Fight Wear logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
