The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mcdavid moves into the clinch.
Mcdavid gets underhooks to prevent Williamson's takedown attempt.
Mcdavid turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Mcdavid manages to end up in side control.
Mcdavid grinds an elbow into Williamson's temple.
Williamson is trying to get back to his feet.
Williamson sneaks out the side door and pushes Mcdavid away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
Mcdavid rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Williamson moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Williamson counters with a shoot takedown. Mcdavid fights it but they end up in guard.
Williamson trying to control but Mcdavid is working from the bottom.
Mcdavid is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Williamson is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Williamson is pushing down on Mcdavid's leg trying to pass to half guard. Mcdavid is fighting to maintain full guard but Williamson has managed to sneak the leg through.

Williamson in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Mcdavid tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Williamson!
