The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Patrick Alders and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The Kid clinches up against the cage.

and The Kid counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Lloyd takes a swing at The Kid's ribcage but misses.
Lloyd clinches up against the cage.
The Kid jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Lloyd walks away with a smile on his face. The Kid gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

The Kid closes the distance and lands a one-two.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
The Kid tries for a takedown but Lloyd circles away easily
and Lloyd counters with a left to the body.
Lloyd swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

and The Kid counters with a three punch combo that has Lloyd backing up. Lloyd nods at The Kid to acknowledge the strikes.
The Kid avoids the head kick by Lloyd.
The Kid shoots in looking for a takedown but Lloyd manages to keep the fight standing, pushing The Kid's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Lloyd seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.

and The Kid makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
The Kid drives through and clinches with Lloyd against the cage.

Lloyd turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Lloyd manages to end up in side control.
The Kid wants to get back to his feet but Lloyd is dominant here and he's now got The Kid's back!
The Kid wants to control his opponent's hands but Lloyd gets his hands free.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
The Kid is trying to get back to his feet but Lloyd has full control of the position and if anything, The Kid has just worked his way into a worse spot.

and Lloyd counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Lloyd will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
No joy there for Lloyd, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
