The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

st nkoi tightens his grip and picks Williams up, before dumping him to the ground. Williams manages to land in guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

st nkoi uses his free foot to push down on Williams's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Williams.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Williams has hold of st nkoi's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and st nkoi manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Williams jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but st nkoi manages to avoid the submission attempt.
