Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Boris Em (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aoki Aoki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Aoki's choice of entrance music: Baka Survivor. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aoki slips a jab and a cross from Em.
A combination from Em does no damage.
Aoki is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

Boris Em seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Em enables Aoki to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Em manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Em's coaches at Cozad MMA Tokyo have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Aoki is looking to advance position but Em won't allow it.
Aoki has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Aoki lands a nice short elbow.

Aoki is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Em is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
