Coming up we have a bantamweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Waylon Joy and Lincoln Hawk. The crowd seem to be enjoying Hawk's choice of entrance music: Winner Takes It All. Waylon Joy had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Hawk closes the distance looking to clinch and Joy counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Joy eventually gives up the hold. Hawk is pressing down on Joy's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hawk seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Hawk's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Joy wants to control but Hawk is keeping busy and won't allow it. Hawk can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Joy is looking to escape. Hawk might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Joy haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Joy wants to hold on but Hawk pushes him away.

That's eleven minutes gone in the round. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hawk wants to control but instead Joy manages to regain half guard. Hawk with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Hawk passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Joy! That's thirteen minutes gone in the round. Hawk can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Joy is looking to escape. Hawk takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Hawk swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Joy is now in Hawk's guard. A big mistake from Hawk there, giving up the dominant position!
