Coming up we have a light heavyweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Alora Henry and The Metaphysical Magician. Henry comes to the cage accompanied by stomp. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the light heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of St Petersburg, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 0 losses; Alora Henry ! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Los Angeles, with a TWGC record of 3 wins and 2 losses; The Metaphysical Magician!
The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Dmitry Maklakov and Konstantin Menshow.

Magician closes the distance and pushes Henry back into the cage.
Magician has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Henry uses from the top position.

We've been hearing good reports from Henry 's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Magician escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Henry gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Henry is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Let's hope that Magician has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Henry wants to control from the top but Magician keeps moving.

Magician has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Henry can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Henry passes Magician's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Magician is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Henry is keen to just control but Magician is a slippery customer.
Henry seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Henry seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Magician for as long as he can get away with.
Magician felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Henry looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Magician is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Henry frees his head nicely. Oh but Magician has switched to an armbar! Henry is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
