Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bobbie Stokes! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mohamed Lakhel! The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Nard Betker and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Stokes fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Lakhel changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Stokes looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Lakhel is fending him off so far but Stokes persists. Nope, Lakhel circles away and we're back to standing. Lakhel is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. Stokes tries a head kick but it misses.
Stokes throws a series of punches but Lakhel avoids them all with ease. Lakhel with the counter takedown but Stokes avoids it easily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Stokes tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Lakhel swivels and escapes. Stokes sets himself, and Lakhel steps forward looking for the clinch! Stokes avoids it this time. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bobbie Stokes. That's going to take a lot out of him. The fight moves into the clinch position.

Stokes shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Stokes misses with a double jab
and Lakhel counters with a left and a right that stings Stokes. Stokes cracks the inside of Lakhel's front leg.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Stokes will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Lakhel tries to counter by closing the distance. Stokes tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Lakhel wants to counter with a clinch but Stokes pushes him away. Stokes shoots for a double leg takedown but Lakhel sprawls well. He's pushed Stokes's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Lakhel tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Stokes fails with a takedown attempt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stokes shoots in but Lakhel avoids the takedown attempt easily. Lakhel throws a counter combo. Stokes has Lakhel up against the cage in a clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Lakhel breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Lakhel tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Mohamed Lakhel is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Stokes thows a leg kick but Lakhel checks it and Lakhel moves into the clinch. Stokes is trying to pull guard but Lakhel has him pressed against the cage. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Stokes wants to stall.

A close round but Mohamed Lakhel will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Lakhel displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Stokes throws out the jab. Lakhel stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Lakhel wants it to stay on the feet. Stokes misses with a two punch combination.
Stokes throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Lakhel's waist but Lakhel gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Stokes off to one side. As Stokes backs off Lakhel throws a huge counter combo but Stokes manages to avoid it all. Bobbie Stokes is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Stokes has closed the distance and engaged Lakhel in a clinch.

Lakhel unleashes a big counter combination but Stokes bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. A low kick from Stokes is predictable there and Lakhel counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Stokes misses with a double jab.

Stokes shoots in and drives through. Lakhel sprawls well. Lakhel feints the counter takedown. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. A head kick misses from Stokes. Stokes fails to land with a series of punches.
Mohamed Lakhel seems to be getting the better of the standup. Stokes swinging wildly here.
Stokes really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stokes shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Lakhel sprawls well. Lakhel wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Stokes gets slowly back to his feet. Lakhel lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Stokes closes this distance looking for a takedown but Lakhel circles away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Stokes throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Lakhel counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Lakhel. Lakhel content to stall in guard here. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Lakhel is pushing down on Stokes's leg trying to pass to half guard. Stokes is fighting to maintain full guard but Lakhel has managed to sneak the leg through. Stokes trying to control here.

Mohamed Lakhel showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Stokes's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

That's going to take a lot out of him. Stokes doesn't succeed with the takedown and Lakhel counters with a one-two to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Stokes gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Lakhel counters with a series of strikes. Stokes will be more careful next time no doubt.
Stokes is rocked! Stokes misses with a body punch
and Lakhel counters with a stiff jab, followed by a cross and an uppercut! That's too much punishment for Stokes to take - he tumbles to the canvas, blood pouring from his nose, barely conscious. That's the end of the fight! Great knockout by Lakhel!
