Coming up we have a bantamweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Doc Holliday and Josh Miller. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Josh Miller was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the bantamweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Montreal, with a TWGC record of 9 wins and 1 losses; Doc Holliday! And in the blue corner, fighting out of St Petersburg, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 0 losses; Josh Miller!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Reed Andrews and Eddie Farnsworth.


The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.

Miller feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Miller wants to pass the guard but Holliday is keeping the position.

Holliday pulls Miller in close to his closed guard and prevents Miller from doing any damage or advancing position.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Miller stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Holliday swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Miller slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
We've been hearing good reports from Holliday's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Miller tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Miller is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Holliday has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Holliday is desperately trying to improve his position but Miller has a good base and remains in mount.

Miller tries to control but Holliday wriggling away.
Holliday is working to get back to half guard.

Miller wants to take his opponent's back but Holliday doesn't allow it.
Holliday is squirming around, avoiding Miller's attempts to control the action.

Holliday is controlling an arm, preventing Miller from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.

Holliday really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
