Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Corey Laird (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dillon Weber (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Corey Laird could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Dillon Weber's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Laird takes the fight into the clinch.
Weber looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Laird keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Weber's efforts to push away.

Weber manages to break the clinch.

Laird clinches up with Weber and pushes him back against the cage.

Weber is fighting off a takedown attempt but Laird is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Weber to the mat. Weber regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Weber avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Laird missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Laird prevents Weber from getting back to his feet.

Laird stands and steps away. Weber gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Weber tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Laird manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Laird shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Weber pinned against the cage. Weber gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Laird swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Weber slaps away a takedown attempt from Laird, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Laird circles away from the clinch attempt.
Laird lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Weber throws a right and a left that both miss.
Laird closes this distance looking for a takedown but Weber circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Corey Laird. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Laird takes the fight into the clinch.

Laird jumps guard and drags Weber to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Weber is sitting in close to Laird's body. Laird has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Weber is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Weber is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Laird.
