And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Nick Scorston!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Richard Clark and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slater dodges the punch combination from Scorston.

Slater clinches up against the cage.

Slater has hold of one of Scorston's legs. Scorston is fighting the takedown attempt but Slater gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Scorston throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Scorston keeping moving, preventing Slater from controlling successfully.
Scorston lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Scorston engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Scorston pushes down on Slater's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Slater is looking for a sweep. Scorston is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Scorston is controlling the pace.

Slater looking for submissions off his back.
Slater wants to get back to full guard.
Scorston is controlling the pace.
Slater makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Slater.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Scorston is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Slater could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Scorston showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Scorston trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Slater has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Scorston should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Slater has tightened it up now! Scorston should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
