The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rock stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Rock wants it to stay on the feet.
Rock waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Herring.
A jab from Rock misses.
Herring ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Rock jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Herring appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Herring goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Herring fails with the takedown.
Herring slips under a jab.
Rock looks to throw the jab but Herring is out of range.
Herring gets a clinch.
Rock is trying to break the clinch but Herring has him pressed against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Herring fails to pull guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Elvis Herring. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Herring fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Herring breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Rock lands a big uppercut and Herring crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Herring looks OK. Rock waves Herring back to his feet!
Herring is rocked!
It looks like Elvis Herring has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Herring ducks into an uppercut from Rock and that's knocked him out cold! This one is all over!
