Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jason Bozzi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rich Junior (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jason Bozzi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Rich Junior!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Junior fails in his attempt to clinch.
Junior is looking to clinch but Bozzi is avoiding it.
Bozzi throwing a counter right hand but Junior manages to avoid it.
A looping hook to the body misses from Bozzi. Junior does a little dance to reset his feet.
Junior fails in his attempt to clinch.
Junior has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.

Bozzi gets tackled into the cage by Junior. Junior maintains the clinch.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Junior.
Junior jumps guard but Bozzi turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Bozzi with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Junior working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.
Bozzi lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Bozzi gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Junior.
Junior tries for a takedown. No joy.
Jason Bozzi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rich Junior.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Junior tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Bozzi just stands there and leans against the cage.

Bozzi breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Junior misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Junior shoots in for a takedown but Bozzi shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bozzi keeps the fight on the outside.
Junior tries to clinch there but Bozzi circles away.
Bozzi swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Junior fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
A big right from Junior misses.

Junior rushes Bozzi and presses him up against the cage.

Junior ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Junior no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Junior is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Bozzi rolls with it to try and escape but Junior cranks on the arm and Bozzi is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Rich Junior!
During a confident post fight interview, Rich Junior thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
