Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Cody Kessinger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ivani Kharlachinskiy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kessinger comes to the cage accompanied by Don't Push Me-50 Cent. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Cody Kessinger! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ivani Kharlachinskiy! The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Anthony Taglia and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kessinger fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Kessinger misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Kessinger fails with a takedown attempt from distance. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Cody Kessinger. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kessinger tries to clinch there but Kharlachinskiy circles away.
No luck for Kessinger with that takedown attempt. Kessinger tries to close the distance and clinch up but Kharlachinskiy swats him away and circles back towards the center. Kharlachinskiy feints and as Kessinger raises his hands in defense, Kharlachinskiy changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kessinger looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Kessinger is trying to control the position but Kharlachinskiy postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kessinger throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Kharlachinskiy wants to get up but he can't break Kessinger's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Kharlachinskiy is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. Kharlachinskiy gets to his feet. Kessinger looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Kessinger shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Kessinger is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kessinger stands up and beckons Kharlachinskiy to join him on the feet. Kharlachinskiy fails with the takedown and Kessinger counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Kessinger trying to control the action but Kharlachinskiy is working from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kessinger is looking for a kimura here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kessinger thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Kharlachinskiy's head. Kharlachinskiy really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kessinger. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Kessinger stops Kharlachinskiy from getting back to his feet.
Kessinger seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Kharlachinskiy looks like he's trying to stand up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Kessinger throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Kharlachinskiy is looking to escape.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Kessinger scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Kessinger trying to control the position but Kharlachinskiy is working away. Kessinger controls the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Cody Kessinger dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Kharlachinskiy displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Kessinger throws out the jab. Kessinger scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Kessinger wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kharlachinskiy keeps working. Kessinger stands up and we're back to a striking position. Kharlachinskiy has his takedown stuffed and Kessinger counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Kharlachinskiy! Kessinger throws some wild stikes that Kharlachinskiy manages to avoid easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Poor strikes thrown by Kessinger there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Kessinger jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Kharlachinskiy manages to avoid the submission attempt. Kessinger throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Kessinger wants to control but Kharlachinskiy is keeping him busy. Kessinger lands some shots froms side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Kessinger wants to control but Kharlachinskiy is keeping him busy. Kessinger decides to stand back up. Kessinger tries to clinch but Kharlachinskiy moves out of range.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kessinger doesn't manage to clinch there - Kharlachinskiy circles away.
Kessinger misses with a takedown and Kharlachinskiy counters with a nice double leg into side control. Kessinger won't be happy with that. Kessinger struggling a bit here. Kessinger is trying to improve his position. Kessinger is trying to control Kharlachinskiy's posture but Kharlachinskiy avoids it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kessinger tries to buck Kharlachinskiy off but Kharlachinskiy is having none of it. Kessinger throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done! Kharlachinskiy shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Kharlachinskiy was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Cody Kessinger will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Kessinger working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Kharlachinskiy tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Kharlachinskiy holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Kessinger tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kessinger stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet. Kessinger throws a nice head kick!

That's two minutes gone in the round. Kessinger looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Kessinger really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Kessinger looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Kharlachinskiy tries to stand and escape but Kessinger is controlling the position.

Kharlachinskiy tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Kessinger. Kessinger has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Kharlachinskiy is working away from the top position though.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Kharlachinskiy keeps the fight on the outside. Kharlachinskiy has his takedown stuffed and Kessinger counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Kharlachinskiy's guard now. Kharlachinskiy wants to stand and escape but Kessinger is having none of it. Kessinger thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Kessinger trying to control but Kharlachinskiy is working from the bottom.
And that's the end of the fight! Cody Kessinger showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Kessinger, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
