The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jefferies swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Massa Hurmaaja seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hurmaaja shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Jefferies sprawls well. Jefferies wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Hurmaaja gets slowly back to his feet.
Hurmaaja throws a lazy right hand but Jefferies sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
We've been hearing reports that Jefferies has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
