Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alex Graves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Iwao Wada (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Graves's entrance music is London Calling. A fine choice. Wada has chosen Stranglehold as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 14 - 0, fighting out of London, Alex Graves! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Iwao Wada! The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Shigeki Fujiwara and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wada changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Wada lands with a nice body punch. Wada cracks Graves with an open hand slap. Wada throws a body shot but no joy. Graves half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Wada is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Graves. Wada connects with a good right hand that stumbles Graves. Graves circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Graves takes one to the side of the head.
Graves scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Graves is pressing down on Wada's thigh, looking to free his foot. Wada is holding on for now. Graves is working hard here to advance position. Wada gets back to full guard.
Wada is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Graves defends well. Graves postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Graves drops back looking for a leg! Wada is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Wada manages to kick Graves off! Graves jumps back into Wada's guard. Wada looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Wada keeping full guard, as Graves tries to pass. Wada manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Graves manages to get himself to full guard.
Wada loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Graves has his foot on Wada's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Wada works his way back into a safe position though. Graves seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission. Wada wants to pass the guard but Graves is keeping the position. Graves throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Wada is working Graves over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Graves keeping moving, preventing Wada from controlling successfully. Wada looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Graves has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Wada can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Graves has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Wada doesn't defend quickly enough and Graves has managed to lock this one up! Can Wada escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Graves on a fantastic submission victory.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Alex Graves! As Alex Graves got his breath back, he grabbed the microphone and managed to blurt out the following: Beast Boy? You're not that good, mate. You're not that good, you're not that good looking and you've got nothing on me. Now, I've got your belt too. Eat shit, Beast Bitch!'.
