The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Sosuke Kotani and Yasuomi Hirokawa.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Amore drives through and clinches with Hika against the cage.

Hika breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Hika throws a lazy uppercut
and Amore counters with a low kick, right behind Hika 's knee.
Hika rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Amore moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
A slow jab from Hika misses its intended target.
Despite the aggression on Amore's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Hika scores with a kick to the body.
Hika fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Hika misses with a head kick.
It seemed like Amore was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Hika fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

Hika drops Amore with a beautiful combination! Amore stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Hika is looking for the KO!

It looks like Makonnen Amore has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Hika throws a nice looking combination but Amore bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Hika falls off balance throwing a combination
and Amore counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Hika looks to land a body kick but Amore moved away.
Amore counters with a body kick.
Amore misses the jab.

Hika cracks Amore with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Hika has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Amore to stand back up!

Hika throws a body shot but no joy.
Amore throws a fast counter high kick but Hika manages to duck under it in time.
Hika lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Amore looks winded!
Hika swinging wildly here.
Hika throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Amore misses with a two punch combination.

Hika takes a swing at Amore's ribcage but misses.
Amore moves in looking to clinch but Hika pushes him off.
We've been informed that Amore has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Amore throws an overhand right that lands on Hika's shoulder, as Hika tries to avoid the shot.
Hika keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Hongi Hika seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hika throws a solid leg kick but Amore takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Hika.
Hika dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Hika feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Amore sprawling to the canvas! Amore rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Hika finish him?!
Amore is still on wobbly legs! Can Hika finish him?
Amore is holding his hands too far apart here. Hika throws a hard, straight punch right down the pipe and BOOM! Amore is out! That punch landed square on the jaw - what a shot!
